VANDA

These are definitely bright light plants that are no challenge in Florida. But we can grow and flower them too. All of these are warm growing and will sulk if night temperatures drop below 15 degrees C. The fluorescent colours on huge flowers are well worth the effort. Great fragrance is a bonus with many species, hybrids, and intergenerics. The strap-leafed plants with lots of fat roots make them look like surrealistic art sculptures.  Grow them hung up in baskets or in large pots with a very open medium.
